The printer forum could be a cousin for scanners. Is this forum the place for Nikon film scanner action? The Open Talk forum is just not right. I have thousands of slides and negatives from my father's prolific pro level enthusiast photography from the 1940's (4x5 Speed Graphic) until he got his D1X in 2002. I could use a virtual machine for XP pro but would rather get it updated since others have made it work. I will probably see if I can get it going on my new W10 build but still have 2 laptops on W7 64bit. Thank you for those links! I have read that folks still want to use the Nikon software for the spot removal. I do think the V S Bible is really worth the puurchase price. If you use VueScan I highly recommend "The VueScan Bible" by Steinhoff. VueScan works great with my Nikon Cool Scan 4000 & Epson V750 Pro on Win 10 Pro.

If modified driver does not work then VueScan should. Later I saw there was a workaround using the Nikon driver.
Vuescan bible 64 Bit#
I was using VueScan with Win 7 Pro 64 bit as Nikon never released a 64 bit driver. If you did not see my post of about a month ago.

I think we all pretty much copied from each other. At any rate I know the 9000 was included in the ini file provided.Īnyway all the procedures found on the net are pretty much the same. I no longer support the thread as I've not used my Nikon 4000 since going digital 3 years ago, but other posters have chimed in that my fix also works under both 8 and 10 with a few tweaks here and there dealing with the signed driver issue. Vuescan bible Patch#
With a bit of thought, some of the Google references simplify the patch until you can just about copy it into your computer. Although Steelchn didn't test/verify the 9000, it's my understanding that the fix works for the 9000. If you Google you will find other references.
